Lovely location within walking distance of heart of Newport. Very charming B&B with lovely room and sitting area and beautiful deck in a quiet neighborhood. Wonderful breakfasts and lemonade, tea and sweets available in the afternoon. Almost wanted to stay at the Inn instead of expoloring Newport!
Clean attractive surroundings in a relaxing setting. Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. Within walking distance to shops and charming homes.
Comfortable bed and breakfast with good service, an affable host, and nice furnishings. Good location close to the historic part of Newport, RI.
There was a jacuzzi tub in our room. There was a nice sitting area next to the bed with a nice window to look out of, however my husband didn't want to sit in them because he thought he might break them. We were able to eat breakfast outside on a deck. The blueberry pancakes were delicious. I liked the checkout time and the times available for breakfast.
There was no meat with the breakfast. There was no TV in the room. The bathroom was tiny. The room had a high bed and I needed to use the step stool to get in it.
the Inn staff greeted us at the door and showed us to our room on the top floor. It was a quaint room with a nice clean bathroom and an armoir for hanging up clothes. There were three rooms on the top floor and all reserved. We missed breakfast due to an early start but the menu looked delicious!
Beutiful historic house in a quiet road just a short walk from all sea front and harbour.Mark was an excellent host.Breakfast was cooked freshly for each guest by Mark who took time to answer questions and give directions and vadvice on a variety of questions.Thank You All at Marshall Slocum
It was located close to stores and beaches. The rooms were comfortable and good breakfast.
It was different from your usual hotel. Large house & more homely. Breakfast was interesting as everyone sat together at one large oval table & all joined in for a conversation on their stay.
Excellent Inn in a super location. Very comfy beds and fantastic breakfasts.
Very relaxed, pleasant surroundings. Very good-and quiet-position for town and sights, Guest rooms good size and cleanly appointed.
Customer care varied. Receptionist was very pleasant, but owner--always present at breakfast--could be alittle terse. You need to accept that the building and contents are old--,at least in style. This is not intended as a chrome and glass establishment, it is more colonial. It can therefore appear a little tired on first viewing.. This will not be to the taste of all..
Nice room, delicious breakfast, nice staff, quiet neighborhood
The price in the end was 30% higher than offered on Booked.net
Very welcoming! The room was beautiful, breakfast on the back veranda was delicious. Walked to town, great stay at "the inn".
Loved it all!
The Inn is perfectly located to see Newport. The main building is beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Make sure that you are staying in the main house. We were in the "cottage" which is basically a converted garage. The room was okay, just not what we were expecting based on the other information we had seen on the Inn.
The inn is very nicely maintained and the decor is lovely. The grounds are pretty and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on the back porch. The location is great, ten minute walk to town.
This was nicer than expected...mostly due to owners and staff...would definatly return!!!
